Eyjafjordur Area
AFE- The
Investment Promotion Agency of
Eyjafjörđur Area is owned and operated by
the Eyjafjordur municipalities, and partly financed
through the Regional Development Office in
Iceland. The company’s overall role is to
increase the area’s: competitiveness, quality of
life and overall attractiveness, as a place for
living and for investment. AFE assist local
companies in analysing and finding new markets and
opportunities, and acts as a link between
supporting governmental institutions and local
companies.
AFE markets the area’ s advantages and tries
to increase the areas attractiveness for foreign
direct investment. AFE´s mission is to find
potential investors into the Eyjafjordur Area,
identify companies that might be interested in
moving some of their operations to the area, and
assist new arrivals by offering support and
aftercare programe while and
after setting up their operations in the area.
